With the warm spring weather comes outdoor work. The last two weekends have been very cooperative weather wise and I have been able to complete a couple of projects. Last weekend I hooked up the plumbing for the pool. While it is not pool time yet, I like to make sure everything is working before we take our first dip for the season. I also started the new mailbox stand last weekend and was able to finish it today. After many times having our mailbox chain break causing lost and wet mail, I thought it was time for a new one.

Another project for this time of year is getting the lawn ready for summer. I rented an aerator and borrowed Tony's truck for the weekend and brought it home yesterday. It took about 2 hours of guiding this heavy machine around our lawn before I was finished. For those who don't know, an aerator is a machine that makes holes in your lawn letting the soil breath. Some say it should be done every year or two. I figured after 20 years the lawn was over due. It is so nice to be able to work outside again in the warm sun. This is a great time of year.
