Here we go again. Basketball tryouts started tonight for the grade 6, 7, and 8 teams at West Pictou. Peter and I are coaching Devon's team again this year and we had 15 hopefuls turn out for the first of two tryouts. It was good to see some returning players from last year and a few new faces. One more evening and we can pick our team. The one thing I do know is that Devon will make the team. :)
Remembrance Day was a beautiful day here in Nova Scotia. Devon was in the local parade and Nadine, Adam and I watched the service. It certainly brought back memories of Dad and some of his war stories. It is amazing how quick people drop one event and take up the charge of the next one. I was in Walmart today (God bless Sunday shopping) and a Christmas carol was playing. It reminded me of how quick the time will pass and the holidays will be upon us. The best part of the Christmas season is having the six of us home. We are so lucky.
