I thought Labour day was to be a day off. Devon and I have been staining the house this weekend. Nadine has been doing some painting as well. It has been a great weekend to be working outside. Sara is visiting and we have all been swimming a few times today and yesterday. It is also the time for local corn so Colin and Sara pick up a dozen last night for supper...mmm sweet.
I had to take Roxy to the Vet this morning due to a bee sting. I noticed that her face was swollen when I was on my way to work. I dropped Devon and Peter off at their schools and them drove to the Vet's office in New Glasgow. He gave her a shot and some medication. The problem is that she cannot keep the pills down as she has been sick to her stomach for the last few days. Tonight Devon noticed that the cat was sick. I do not know if dogs and cats can share the same sickness, but I do know I hate cleaning up after them.
It was a sunny day, but not all that warm. The water was a chilly 22 degrees but we were determined to all get in. It was so nice to have all the boys home for the weekend. This will be the last time we will all be home together until Christmas, because Colin leaves for Europe on Tuesday.
We also took a minute and remembered those who lost their lives on this day four years ago in New York. It was one of those times when you remember where you were and what you were doing when the Twin Towers were hit.
Back to University for Adam tomorrow, his first class is at 8:30 in the morning and he is looking forward to a great year.

We took Colin to the airport tonight for his flight to England. Sarah and Clair joined Nadine. Adam, Peter, Devon and I to see him off. We arrived at 6:30 and had a bite to eat while chatting and taking pictures. I don't know who is more anxious, Nadine, Sarah or Colin. I do know there were a couple of tears when we had to say so long. It is certainly going to be exciting for Colin after he gets settled at Val's. I am sure he will keep us up-to-date via his weblog and his new web site he will be creating.
Here's to Colin....cheers

This is for Dave and Patrick. Thank you both for your work on the deck. Dave completed most of the hot work and Patrick did a great job as the closer. It looks great. Unfortunatly it is raining this weekend and I did not get a chance to enjoy it soaking up the sun. Maybe next visit. Dave, I hope you are having a wonderful time in India.
Cheers

I just finished chatting with Colin and he is getting settled in residence at the University of Reading. He is getting familiar with the campus and is looking forward to getting the paper work completed tomorrow. He has some nice photos on his new web site europeadventure.ca. He has already met quite a few new people from Germany and Calgary. He has not met any of his class mates yet. I am sure we will hear lots from him in the next few days.
