In about 3 hours, Colin and I embark on our 10-day road trip to Toronto. The first leg of our journey will take us to Saint John where we will spend 2 days visiting Dad and Bev. On Sunday we will take the highway north through New Brunswick to Riviere-du-Loup where we will pitch our tent for the night. The next day we will head to Ottawa where we will stay with Chris Power, Colin’s friend. Tuesday will take us to Toronto. We can stay at either Mike Smit’s or Kate’s house for the 2 nights we will be there. Colin and I plan to spend the day (Wednesday) in Toronto visiting the many sites. We will leave early Thursday and drive to Wasaga Beach. There we will pitch our tent and relax for the day. Friday is the start of our return trip. We will meet with Chris again on Friday evening and stay in Ottawa for the night. Saturday and Sunday will be travel days as we make our way home. I am sure we will have a great time and we are both looking forward to a fun filled trip.
It’s 11:00 pm and Colin and I are back from Dave and Terry’s party. It was great so see so many friends from years gone by. Ron and Beth Moore were there as well as Hazen and Marilyn Scarth. I haven’t seen Ron for at least 20 years.

The day at the Reach was sunny and warm with a few clouds in the morning. We went swimming a couple of times and went to town to pick up some camping supplies that we forgot.
All in all a great day.

Well we made it home safely on Sunday after 9 days on the road. Colin and I had a great trip to Montreal, Ottawa, Wasaga Beach and Toronto. We camped three night and stayed at homes of friends and relatives for the other nights. We went to Montreal on the way to Toronto and the way back. Colin filled out application forms at the Greek and Spanish Consulates and provided them with as much information as he had at the time. It was so nice to see everyone along the way. Colin saw his two best friends on the Trip, Chris Power and Mike Smit, and I saw my two best friends, Hazen Scarth and Dave Clark. I was also fortunate to see my two favourite younger sisters. All in all a fun time...so nice to travel with Colin. He is a great guy.
Anything she asks for...she gets.
Bev wanted a new deck built near her new fence so she could enjoy the autumn sun. She asked me to build it while I was there this month. I was able to plan the project, order and receive the lumber, level the area and lay out the stringers. Unfortunately I was unable to complete the work. As luck would have it, Angela and Dave arrived for a vacation two weeks ago and were soon at work on the deck. Dave completed most of it, but alas, ran out of time. I am planning a trip back to the Reach to finish it in September.
Bev and I will both be glad when it is done.
